| Letter to landlord client enclosing draft assured shorthold tenancy A letter from a legal advisor to a landlord client enclosing a draft assured shorthold tenancy agreement. The letter sets out the principal terms of the agreement and provides further information for the landlord to consider at this stage. |
| Common law tenancy agreement A fixed-term tenancy for a residential property, for use when an assured or assured shorthold tenancy is inappropriate, for example: A letting to a company. A tenancy where the annual rent is more than £100,000. Where the landlord is a resident landlord. | Prior notice to assured shorthold tenant of grounds for possession A notice to a prospective tenant of an assured shorthold tenancy that the landlord may seek to rely on grounds 1 to 5 of Schedule 2 to the Housing Act 1988 when recovering possession of the property. The notice must be served before the tenancy is entered into. |
| Letter of advice on co-ownership A letter advising on methods of co-ownership. The letter is intended for use when co-owners initially purchase a property. The letter assumes that there will be two co-owners, but can be adapted for use where there are more than two co-owners.
